SolfaNET ADSL Broadband Solutions

Solfanet provides a first class and uncapped Broadband Service. With many ISP's now capping how much you can download per month, we do not limit your service! However to get online with ADSL style broadband you will need to consider a number of choices. Additionally there are costs incurred which are dependant on your circumstances and requirements.

Line Activation Method

ADSL Activation Fee - £50 + VAT
Required if ADSL has not been activated on your phone line - This happens if you have not had broadband before enabled on your home telephone line.

Migration from Competitor ADSL to SolfaNET ADSL - FREE!
This happens if you change your current provider of ADSL to us (this does not include Cable style Broadband). We used to have to charge £50 + VAT for ADSL to be migrated however we've managed to organise for this to be removed!

Plan Selection

All ADSL facilities are provided with:

• Fixed IP address - Very useful for future Voice over IP telephony services which are emerging.
• Free dial-up access in the event of downtime

You can select one of the following plans. Please note all plans have up to 256kbps upload. The following plans have 50:1 Contention Ratio, ideal for home use.

Home500 ADSL (up to 512Kbps download) - Monthly Fee - £25 + VAT
Home1000 ADSL (up to 1Mbps download) - Monthly Fee - £35 + VAT
Home2000 ADSL (up to 2Mbps download) - Monthly Fee - £43 + VAT

The following plans have 20:1 Contention Ratio, better designed for business/charity use. As always business solutions obtain better products, services and support to match the increased charges.

Biz500 ADSL (up to 512Kbps download) - Monthly Fee - £38 + VAT
Biz1000 ADSL (up to 1Mbps download) - Monthly Fee - £59 + VAT
Biz2000 ADSL (up to 2Mbps download) - Monthly Fee - £83 + VAT

Required Hardware Options

ADSL Modem - £40 + VAT
Required for a single computer environment
ADSL Wireless Router - £65 + VAT (Recommended)
Required for a network environment with more than one computer. Ideal for small businesses with/without current wireless network requirements.
ADSL Micro Filter - £2.50 each
Required for each socket on the enabled phone line, to split the phone line from the ADSL facility. This allows both telephone and ADSL to work on the same line.

Technical Support

We provide a no-nonsense technical support service. We require end users to fulfil a few simple tasks to confirm the status of a problem. 99% of all problems are solved with simple tasks taking 2-5 minutes to fulfil, which our technicians will happily talk you through. We do the rest. More importantly we take users seriously and if they say they have no access we accept that even if our system is running correctly. In this situation the problem is external to our system and can be solved between us and your local BT exchange.

Flexibility

There are many features that ADSL can offer depending on what a company wants to do. We have all the available solutions. Most companies require 15 days to make the necessary changes, however we can activate most changes to the ADSL facility within minutes. We believe this allows us to provide a superior service over our rivals.

Uncapped Service

Most services now cap the amount of transfer allowed to be used by users. Users are expected to pay more for larger usage of the internet and as such costs of using ADSL begin to climb. At SolfaNET we are committed to ensuring that we do not cap our service. This ensures both cost stability and the knowledge that you won’t be cut off at any unexpected moment because you used the internet more than you anticipated.

Minimum Contract Period

All ADSL solutions are provided with a minimum 3 month contractual period.
